The Offense/Defense Equation
The Offense/Defense equation is so important and misunderstood in the game of 9 Ball. The Offense/Defense equation is how much offense and how much defense is being played during your game. Pros usually play at an 80/20 mix of offense and defense and an average league player will try to imitate what the pros do but that is not what you should do.
Knowing your Offense/Defense equation helps you put together a game plan. Now you can try to figure out what is right for you or you can get the Pocket Coach and it teach you how to put this strategy in place based on your level of playing and conditions on the table.
The average player is misled by watching pros play on the best tables with the best equipment and the go and try the same thing at their local pool hall. Pros make all the shots and the average player thinks that is how he should play the game. How many of you play like the pros? You may be an A, B or C player but you should adjust your game to your level of play. The result . . . players shoot too much!!
